What does the breeder have to say about this? Why don't you ask her what to do? Looks like the ear needs some help by my way of perception. There have  been numerous threads on ear forms, glue and tapings, you might want to do a search. What a sweetie-pie pup, though!

It's my understanding that ears with all that hair on them take longer than others.  I've heard some say to trim the hair back and it might help.  I wouldn't be too worried just yet.  Are you giving him something to chew on to strengthen his jaws?  Try a kong with peanut butter in it or some raw beef bones.  It looks like the base is up.  Is there a crease in the ear?  If there is a strong crease you may want to tape it up but again, I would wait at least another month.  He sure is a cutie!

We had a male who had an issue and we gave him calcium supplements.
He is fine now.
Also I have a female with a plush coat and feathers on the ears and her ears were radar dishes through out her
puppy hood.  So not sure coat has anything to do with it but I could be wrong.
However, we did find the supplements helped with Uruk's ears of course it could just be timing too.
Good luck

The one definitely I would support, might as well do the other too. You should shave them, but they will probably both be up by 8.5 mos. Call Tracy and ask her how she prefers to support ears. I have posted my way ere but don't have time to do it again today. There are a few good ways. I have never had ears fail to come up... probably didn't need to do anything, but it does happen they don't sometimes. He is awfully cute!

I wouldn't worry just yet. The ears of puppies and yound dogs sometimes drop or pull toward each other during the teething period, which can last until 6 mos. of age and sometimes longer. My pup is 10 weeks old his ears are mostly "up" have been since I brought him home. Sometimes I'll see one drop and start worrying but usually before the days over its back up. Now yesterday one dropped and is still down today. I started researching and found the information about teething from the GSDC , a very reputable club. My last Sheps ears also did this until he was 7 mos. old. Even though I knew it was normal with him, You kind of panic a bit when it happens. The ears are a big part of a GS appearance, but at the end of the day does it make you love them any less?I most def. want my dogs ears up, but if it is just not gonna happen I wouldn't trade him for the world! Hang in there, and don't jump the gun just yet.
