K9 Dreamz

Hi all,
I made a 255 mile trip yesterday one way just to get 2 siamese kittens.  When I got there they had very nice dogs.  They had a couple GSD, but what caught my eye was an Alaskan Malamute (we had one growing up). I said oh I bet those have pretty puppies and she says I have a litter ready to go, want to check them out? I can't resist puppy kisses so of course i said yes.  I should know myself better and said no.  The litter was 8 very large meaty pups. 2 female, 6 male. Well needless to say I ended up with a female, their bloodlines go back to Black Wolves and the pup is not papered, but she will be spayed at 18 months regardless, and will never be bred..  So I would like to introduce my newest addition:   MALIBU STORM(all of our dogs have middle names) (look above her eyes and see if you see the flower?)

Beautiful puppy! Did you end up getting the kittens too?

Is the flower a tulip? Beautiful puppy, yes big. They are great working dogs, I have a neighbor that has two, they pull the kids around on sleds all winter, and go into town to get groceries. Have fun with her.
Always,
Cee

Oh no! LOL,  she is beautiful, I can see why it is hard to resist!  So, ya, did even end up getting a kitten?  I don't see one in the pics...

Are malamutes like the husky in that they always want to wander?

I don't think they wander as much if at all.  The one we had growing up never left our farm yard unless chasing off a predator to the chickens and geese.

Yes I did get the kittens.  I got 2, their names are Twitter and Twinkle(has stripe/spots on nose). The 3rd picture is my 4yr old sons kitten Flower(named after the Skunk on Bambi), she has Huge buggy eyes, she is the same age as the 2 siamese, but is so tiny compared to them.

Yes the flower looks like a tulip.. on Malbu' face.

My fiance said I can't leave town again without supervision, however, he has fallen for the puppy too, he took her in the tractor today. He was fine with the kitties since that is what the trip was for anyways, but still thinks I was crazy to drive 255 miles one way for them. What we do for critters.

Malibu(puppy) slept loose in the living room lastnight, as we all passed out on the couch and floor(kids) and she didn't have an accident, I did wake up once though to her chewing on my slipper which was still on my foot(ouch).

WOW she is a beautiful (big) puppy. Always like the sled dogs but never owned one. Good luck with her

So very cute!  All of them.  I agree with your fiance'.  Better not leave home without supervision.  My husband won't let me wander alone either.

To those who sent me hate mail. Get a life!  The biggest complaint you have is that I supported a BYB by buying an unregistered pup.  Well the people(Husband, wife, 24 year old daughter and boyfriend) who raise them, raise them as sled/working dogs only. They only give their pups the highest quality food, kibble and raw, they live in 100'x60' runs with 2 -10x10 buildings, one at each end for shelter(heated in the winter/cooled in summer. They do not raise to sell them.  I did NOT pay anything for the pup, just promised to spay her and give her a family home.  This owner does not CHAIN her dogs as many sled dogs are. She has 6 runs, each of which has a "Pack/Team" in it (6-9 dogs). She had this litter so she can train them and retire some of her 8 year old racers. She keeps them till they die, she doesn't dump them.  She also spays and neuters her dogs, she only has 2 breeding males and 3breeding females, none of which are related, the rest of the packs are altered. and she only had this litter planned for this year. She takes great care of her dogs.  The 3 Shepherds she has are not for breeding(altered) but for companionship. All of which are as well part of a pack/ team.  I have never seen so many dogs so well cared for and not one dog scuffle when I was there.  Her dogs all are friendly, happy and love attention.  They have tons of Jolly balls, Kongs and tire toys all over there runs.  The kennels were all very clean, fully grassed and well kept, she does a wonderful job, and it was amazingly not noisy there. There were a few howls and barks but not much, the dogs were very happy with me in the runs and very gentle.

SO maybe next time you judge before you know the whole story and start chewing on someone for something, maybe ask a ?????   No where in my post did I say I paid for the pup.  I was given her with the knowledge that she was going to a family home and going to be loved.

So had to vent as I did not want to reply individually to each of the 4 haters.
