This is the second dog like this I have taken in, in the last several months...They look exactly alike, littermates??? Both 2 yrs old. Tall and lanky, (28") Airplane ears, curly tails. Both goofballs. Great temperament, but S****, both deemed aggressive...NOT!!!
WHat is going on out there???? HELP!!!!

Those are great dogs for shipping... the ears allow for smaller crate size:)

They are pretty cute. I'd take them, but my current bubbies might not appreciate sharing me with more no matter how cute they are.

I saw a grown GSD with ears like this offered on a rescue site some time ago and a note attached said the airplane ears were caused by the dog being crated its entire life. Don't know that it's what caused it for sure but it's a theory. They sure are cuties, you should be able to place them quickly, I hope. I'm glad you were able to take them in since someone considered them aggressive.

Why do you believe it is a Seattle breeder? Frankly, I don't know of ANY European-line gsd breeders in Seattle, or even in King County, which requires a hobby license if you just have more than 3 dogs, period. Seattle/King County has such strict restrictions on breeders and kennels that most are in Pierce or Snohomish county, particularly Snohomish. Normally, you don't even find Seattle/King County locations for gsds advertised in the newspaper.

There is only ONE boarding kennel in the Seattle area, ASAIK, and it only has a license because it was in business for 40+ years.

You do know that because the dogs are in Seattle does not mean that their breeder is. Those dogs could have been bred anywhere in the country.

Do the dogs have tattoos in those ears? That might tell us who the breeder is, if it is a tattoo per the USA tattooing scheme.

Toby came from a breeder, per his surrender papers, they are probably from a back-yard breeder for all I know. And I generalized saying Seattle...it could be within a 60 mile radius...the last one came from Renton, don't know where that is...the first one came from Marysville, don't know where that is either...I doubt that they are European dogs. Look more American to me, given their humongous height. No tattos..The people that got these dogs I am sure did not pay alot for them. They just came to me because they were supposedly aggressive, both are big clowns and teddy bears, just alot of energy!!!
