Bea, I think your talking about drives when you refer to energy levels. Normal drive lines would be Farbenspiel, Kirchental, and most of the VA lines.  High drives would be most of your Czech, Slovak, and DDR lineage. VB

i have seen quite a few showlines that are high energy, was looking into something on the calmer side.
yes i know  alot of the working lines are pretty high drive.
i dont mind drive.

Most show line dogs are a little TOO clam for me. I hate having to act a clown to keep a dog's attention on the training field.

you are right most are pretty calm on the field.
i like a calm dog off the field, but a good worker on the field.

Bea- my Yacco von der Vallendarer Hohe litter was very calm. They have drive, make no mistake, the bitch we kept has moderate drives, super confident with strong nerves, but not a hyper dog by any means.  A nice girl when it's time to work but relaxed around the house. Since I know you are somewhat local to me, I will also add Karo van de Herdersfarm. A strong worker who is gentle and mannerly off the field, I have worked with some of his progeny and will say they are mostly this way as well. I believe he is retired, but he has some nice sons in the area. I think you have also seen video of my bitch- her works speaks for itself but she is a big snuggle bear at home.
