This is, hands down, the most stunning example of stupid parents I've ever seen. And when the dog rips the face off their child, I can hear them now, "But he LOVES the baby! He was soooooo GOOD with the baby! We just had NO IDEA this could happen."
My prediction is, it's only a matter of time.

I mean do you do a search? And what key words do you use?
Thats an Akita and yes that bothers me. Thats not loving interaction, the dog has a toy.
But I am not my brothers keeper, and sadly there are too many idiots in the world already.
Children do not get to pick their parents, nor dogs their owners.

That is a horrifying video. I hope someone that knows those idiots and recognizes the dangerous situation for what it is calls CPS and an Akita rescue.

OMG!!! Are these people on drugs?! That dog sees nothing but a big ol' squeaky toy that just keeps teasing him. That poor baby. And that poor dog. No one is making any effort to correct him. It's just a matter of time....

That video has made the rounds and the Akita people are appalled and trying to reach out and educate the owners. Doubt it will do much good :-(

Sad, scary, yet not suprising. Way too many possible scenerios here, none of them good. Too many people having children that do not have a clue. Too many dog owners that don't have a clue. What ever happened to common sense? Young male Akita with drive, young toddler that can't reason at that age, dumb ass parents. What a combo. Lately I have found that I have less and less patients with folks like this. Wish I had not pulled this thread up.
