Can anyone Recommend a Pet Transportation Company??? - Page 1

Just make sure what ever company is used that they have a cell phone (a real one) not a trac phone, and that you have cash in hand for the transport, paid to you by the new owner, to be paid at pickup on your end and that they have an airconditioned and very clean vehicle and that they are not transporting another dog or animal with yours.  I had one pick a pup up from me last summer and I paid for it and it turned out to be a scam and I ended up paying for the dog to come back to me and eveything, on top of it, the pup was transported with another dog that was not properly vaccinated(even though they showed me vaccine records) and my pup had to be quarantined at the vets for 20 days because of the other dog having Parvo.  Just be careful.  I will never use a transport company again.  I would rather have the client meet me half way or pay for me to deliver personally or to even hold the pup until fall for the weather to cooperate.  I hope all works out, but I had a terrible experience and hope it never happens to someone else.

Have you looked into smaller independant contractors?
Charter flights, smaller planes, local owners, sometimes cheaper and more reliable, more personal one on one dealings.
Just a thought, I've never used one, but I have friends who use them for special trips, they'll fly anything from cargo to a plane load of tourists.   Its a buyers market right now.

If Continental is available for your flight they are climate controlled and have counter to counter service so no problems with temperatures. In the summer months if I can't use Continental  I fly red eye ( overnight) flights to beat the heat on other carriers.  I would fly rather than do a ground transport with my pups. Faster and less stress than driving and then the risk of pups being potty breaked in areas without having their full immunizations yet.
