Hello board members.

I have an American bred German Shepherd bitch I wish to post on the database. The top quarter of her pedigree goes back to old German lines, which I can buld from. However, the rest of her pedigree is virtual "unknowns" and does not go back to German (or even American showlines, for that matter) in over 6 generations.  She was AKC registered.  How do I go about this? I have noticed a number of pedigrees with unknow information in them, and yet they have been posted. Can I email a copy of an AKC research pedigree for her to Oli so she can be included?

As far as I know, all pedigree info on the database is entered by the database users. Get yourself a research pedigree to start you out, and enter the info yourself. If you're having problems, just ask, and we'll be glad to help.

I encountered similar problems entering my American/German showline bitch's pedigree. The German info was all there, but the American information required lots of digging and patience to find. Most of what I needed was available on the internet. Here are some links that may be helpful.

Another suggestion is to google the name of the kennel, and see if they have pedigree info posted online. If not, try e-mailing them.

Good luck!
