has anyone had a parvo test come back with a false positive?  is it possible for a test to show parvo,  and it be something else?

here's the story:
I finally sold my Gwyn to a great home last Sunday.  She went to a working home.  everything was fine,  she went to the vet Tues for a check up,  got a clean bill of health.  they gave her a booster shot,  a rabies, and a HW cube all at the same time. a day or so later,  she stops eating, and is lethargic.  owner stayed home with her today and took her back to the vet.  test shows parvo.  I have never had parvo, her sister who I housed with her isn't sick, non of my dogs are showing symptoms.  Gwyn hasn't left my property.

I guess I am trying to ask everyone, could the HW cube and all the shots dropped her immune system enough for the shot to give her parvo,  or for the killed vacc. be showing as parvo with the test?

I am beside myself,  really worried about Gwyn who is just 5 months.

I know if you give a parvo shot and do a parvo test you can get a false positive, but I am not sure of how many days between the shot and the false positive test

And I think it is 7-14 days from exposure to showing signs of parvo

I have read it is 3-14 days after a shot that you can get a false positive.

I am just hoping it isn't parvo and it was the vacc.

If they gave her a modified live vaccine yes it is common to come back false positive and the vet should know that. Ask if it came back weak positive.

I'll ask and post when I hear back from the new owners.

the vet has her on IV's ect.  when this pup left me not 5 days ago,  she was a bright, happy, active trouble making girl.  all this started after the vet visit and shots.

her sister who I also housed isn't showing symptoms of  parvo and so far no one else on my property are either

Did she have all her shots before she was 12 weeks old. Why did  she get a booster shot? I was always told to do that at one year. Mabe it is the shot. What other signs does she have? Im pretty good a spotting parvo, it has a sweet smell to it. you can usally smell it on their mouths and feet. Even before vomiting.

She could be just a little sick, from the heart wom medicine.  Or just a little freaked out about the new home. My dogs never eat away from home. Will go camping for 2 days and they barley eat the whole time.

Is she sick vomiting, lethargic, watery diarrea pain when palpating her abdomen? That is parvo. She may have contacted parvo at the vets office . That is why I do my own vaccinations.
