Obama erases the Bush legacy and there is a new US commander in Afghanistan, will this make a difference? And what do you think about the US going after the Taliban, straight into Pakistan? What do the Pakistani's think about the Taliban?

I think the Pakastanis are tip-toeing a very fine line between trying not to upset  the Taliban and trying to please the U.S.

The last time a ruler was successful in invading Afganistan was Alexander the Great in 350 BC.

Russia tried and failed with 500,000 troops.  We have 1/10th of that.

The idiots and psychos are running the asylum,  and this country,  into the ground.

Not a damn thing will change, except further erosion of the US Dollars purchasing power and/or eventual collapse.

The USA created the TALIBAN, trained and funded its leaders, only under a guise of  'freedomg fighters' aka Muhajadeen fighting Russians.
Now its about Opium and control of the land for a pipeline from the Caspian Basin to India and China.

This is a Map/Photo of the Pipeline plan for the Banksters.

Wasn't Russia fighting the Kurds? And Russia wanted to obscure their culture, not like Alexander the Great who taught the great lesson on assimilation, which the US understands.

No, Russia invaded Afganistan and fought Afganis without pretense, but to Occupy.

Kurds live in Northern Iraq, near the border with Turkey-lifelong enemies, and they also border Iran.
Russia obscured nothing, They were brutal and had 500,000 troops. They were Shamed in Defeat, the same as the US will be.
'No Nation has ever benefitted from prolonged Occupation' -Sun Tsu

Aleksander the Great could only Invade & Occupy Afganistan for 3 years, and this was 2300+ years ago. No one has succeeded since.

Interesting Ronnie, that the Taliban was successful in totally eradicating Opium, but now under US Occupation, the Opium crops are record.   British troops are even guarding it, photos abound with this picture.
Slimeball Zio Israeli Mossad, MI6  and CIA use drug money covertly to fund various covert activities.

Those proud Afgani people might be the butt of your jokes, but they are skilled fighters, and have fought off all invaders, everyone who has tried to take them on, has failed.   As are we, replacing and firing the General Commander in charge this week.

PRIDE COMETH BEFORE A FALL, Ronnie boy.

At the same time, as you say,  "that the Taliban was successful in totally eradicating Opium",

They also took away every woman's freedom and more so. No JOKE
I make a difference between between Afghan persons and Taliban ones when I say this.
