I have finally (today) received a notice from the SV that I have been registered as the owner of my dog and that they are going to issue the Bescheinigung.
Now can someone please tell me what this actually means?
Is the Bescheinigung the actual set of registration papers or just a certificate of transfer?
Does that get sent to the AKC?
I've looked on AKC's site for registering a foreign dog and see where it says to send in the original pedigree.
I'm very uncomfortable sending in his original Pink Papers to anyone seeing as the last time I did, it caused all this mess and has taken nearly a year to straighten out.
Can someone who has gone through this please help me out?
Thanks,
Franki

AKC will take a copy of the Pink Papers, a copy of the Bescheinigung which is the transfer on the SV records, and two pictures, one side and one frontal plus the AKC application form and a check. That's all that is needed.
