I just receive a call from the animal control officer in Klamath County. He looked at a map and there are NO HOMES in the area. His feeling is that either she was, indeed, anbandoned, or a rancher sent her looking for stray cattle and she got lost. In his experience, if she were dumped, she will remain in that area. He got NUMEROUS EMAILS (thanks guys!) but will respond to me since I was the one who actually saw her. He will set a trap ONLY IF HE HEARS FROM ANOTHER PERSON WHO ACTUALLY SEES HER. If anyone is anywhere near this area, please respond to him. He thanked me for my concern, he really did seem sincere and said he will do everything he can to locate her if he gets another call. So, hope really does spring eternal and there really are people who care! I know it's still a longshot but at least she's got a chance. THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SENT EMAILS TO POSSIBLY BRING HELP TO THIS POOR LITTLE GIRL!!! GSD people ROCK!!!

P.S. I made it to Yellowstone yesterday, AWESOME! I even got some pics of the two grizzly bears I saw. Sadly, I was not able to capture a wolf and her cub on film, by the time I had her in the sites and focused, she was off in the trees. I could spend a week there, easily. We're going to try to hit the rest of Colorado, Canyonlands and Arches before heading back east. We're winding down our National Park tour but have some wonderful memories and glorious pictures to look back on. What a rush it's been! Once we get back to Florida, I'll be posting the rest of the trip, so many pictures, so little time!
