I just wanted to share this Mother's Day story, that happened yesterday. It just seems coincidental that having recently mentioned my wandering yellow lab from decades ago, I should look out my kitchen window and see, a stray yellow lab sniffing around the backyard shrubbery! He had on an e-collar, so he clearly was an escapee. I grabbed a few dog treats and a leash, and hooked him up in no time. My dog was unaware until my kids opened the door and let him out. You should have heard the god-awflul sound that came out of his mouth! He came close to busting past the front porch (but he had his radio collar on and knew better), I swear if he could talk he would have said, "MOMMA, I"M YOUR DOG! WHO the %#@ is THAT?
We found the owners a few streets over, and they weren't even aware their dog had gone missing!

We spent nearly two hours (in the rain) trying to corral an IG yesterday, but we could not get him cornered. Finally just had to give up and notify everywhere I could this morning. Hope the poor little guy gets caught. Very FAT for an IG, but definitely an IG. No collar on.
Our dogs are used to seeing strange dogs come and go, so they don't take on much when we hold a rescue for a few days.

OK, Okie... I'm a little slow today, lol, what's an IG? Normally my dog doesn't have a problem with other dogs, but it was a shock to see me holding this stray on the leash, I guess, especially since it slipped past his guard! And I really didn't know how this lab (both boys)would react with my dog, and thought it best to just avoid the whole situation by bringing the dog to his home.
What a noise though! ARRRoooyourooggjgjhhh!

IG = Italian Greyhound.
Sounds like your dog gets offended easily! That's funny.

Oh, friends have one of those, little grey visions, very fast! lol
I think Mojo's going through a maturity thing... he's about 2 and half, and acting more macho dog than friendly pup as of late, I guess.

LOL I didn't know what an IG was either. So I clicked on "Switch Breed" and looked to see what breeds Oli had listed under "I"... yet another great use of Oli's database! LOL

My son and I watched a science show yesterday that might have some of you interested, it was called "Connected, Six Degrees of Seperation" and it was kind of mind blowing. Yes we all are connected in the entire world by an average of six steps or degrees of seperation, and what comes around goes around quicker than we all think. The scientists, geneticists, mathematicians, and physicists had rather interesting proof over many years of study of networks, nature, etc. Wonder if your yellow lab might somehow be related BeeTree? I know my rescued GSD that is 2 years younger than my big male GSD is related 5 generations back, both dogs great, great, etc grandparent came from same breeding. Those things that make you go Hmmm
