I have a female majestic hound b&t color,,,when I purchased was with second male,,got home both had parvo and were hospittalized and lived , there both about 18 mths now.   other day female had noisy stomach and next day there was blood , lots light red not thick or black from anus,  to vet , vet thought something swallowed, exploratory surgery, nothing there but stomach full of blood and intestines looked battered and grey,,,sewed up antibiotics and came home , this is 3 day she is eating and drinking and is coming around wagging tail walking out to bathroom on leash.  What could this have been , vet thinks rat poison as kidney count high and blood ws not coagulating when first brought in,,,,,,rat poison almost impossible,,,vet went to a bad bacteria,,,,,,,,,,,,vet and me seem lost as to what pup has,,,could it be second bout of parvo bleeding was like a shovel full of blood like a cut rather than out her anus,,,and stomach was full,  any help appreciated,,,kurt betournay ,  gasconhound@hotmail.com

Do you mean "Old Roy dog food" and if so, change............"Old Roy is crap......go to Purina Pro-Plan if you don't want
to spend much but still want quality.........

Make sure you get booster shots for distemper & parvo FOR EVERYONE ASAP!!!

NOW Don't wait......

I do not understand why your vet did surgery without the test run to make sure there was a foreign body. What test has the vet run since the surgery. Always, Cee
