My daughter lives across the continent so I'm not going to see her. I'll admit to a little bit of envy of all the moms whose kids are coming home today and those who're going to the buffets at the local fire companies. Back in the day my daughter would take me to the Mother's Day brunch at a hotel (I'd pay because her dollar a week allowance just wasn't enough) and I have such very fond memories of those Sundays.

Mothers, cherish your kids while they're still at home. Children, if all you do is say to your mother, "I really appreciate you, Momma" you'll be heroes.
