Wellness Core - your experience? - Page 1

We've been feeding Wellness Core to our 9 months old for some time with good results. We recently opened a fresh bag and the dog developped explosive, watery diarrhea. We put him on rice and boiled hamburger until his gut settled, then went back to the Wellnes Core. The diarrhea came back.

This bag has an expirashion date of Feb. 2010. We're obviously wondering if there's been a change in formulation.

Is anyone here feeding Wellness Core regularly and have you had a similar recent experience?

Which wellness core are you feeding? My guys are on the chicken/turkey one, and I mixed it up recently with the fish one. My last turkey/ch bag has too an expiration date of Feb 2010, the fish one of Nov 2009. No problems encountered and the kibble looks the same.

Call the costumer line as they do have a garantee on it, they may want the rest of the bag and get you a coupon for a new one.

We're feeding the brown bag (turkey/chicken). Kibble looked and smelled the same.

They do have a good product guarantee printed on the bag but you have to have the store receipt to return it and I don't have that anymore.

I'll bet wellness will stand behind the product without the store receipt.  If it's a store you regularly shop, I'll bet they would even gived you a duplicate if need be.  It's usually the retail outlet that insists on the receipt, not the manufacturer.  I have had very good experiences with the wellness products.

We're a little hesitant right now to feed more of the Core so a coupon or a replacement with the same product wouldn't be very helpful. We'll try the current bag with one of the other dogs, the one who has an iron gut, see what happens. We've contacted Wellness and are waiting to hear back. All our past experience has been very positive.
