Classifieds, - Page 1

Hi,

I hope every thing's been working nowadays.  Been doing lots of minor modifications and some of them could introduce strange bugs that I'm not aware of.

Have you seen the Map feature in the classifieds?  By adding a drop down for every country and a map location I  hope that the classifieds are more constructive then they where.  The world is big even though it doesn't seem so in the world wide web.

I've been trying to export the Kennel registry to Google Earth,  it would basically allow users of Google Earth to select a filter for breeders and get exact location all over the world.   It's complicated but good fun.
Let me know if you wouldn't want your listing there, then I'll stop.  It's more a fun intellectual dilemma then something that will benefit this website.

I like the location in the classifieds, nice touch.  I really liked when you had google earth also.

All the ads show Kansas for me.    Toto, we can't get out of Kansas!!

yeah, I've noticed all the US ads show the location to be in Kansas.

I went looking around,  saw a kennel in Hudson, FL I didn't recognize.  Find their website, it's Hudson Maine, not Florida.  So not all in the correct locations.

well,  of course the person writing the classified needs to verify the correct location.

When you click "get coordinates" and type simply  "US" or "United States" in the search box it sets you in the absolute center of US,  which happens to be in Kansas :)

Go into "Place Ads" and click the "get coordinates" link and test it,   I guess US advertisers aren't that willing to give up actual locations.
