I asked my vet BUT he was rather vague- and he always explains everything to me- so I wanted some feed back on this.
Why would I use Frontline for my Border Collie ( 8 years old) and Advantix for my going on 4 years old German Shepherd?
I was wondering if it was becasuse he had seizures in the past.....just thought I would ask this board.
Thank you,
Katrina

Thanks Vomlandholz,
I will ask my vet about comfortis and also research it myself-although I am in one of the worst tick borne disease regions ( cape cod and islands) - it is out of control and Lyme is a huge problem as well.
I swear that after I gave Kaiser his Frontline last year-shortly after -he had seizures.
He has been seizure free now for almost 4 months-he is on PB and KBr and my vet is planning to wean him off someday. I just gave him Frontline a week ago. He had a zillion tests and found no reason for seizures and of course the diagnosis is "ideopathic epilepsy"
He had one a month for a minute and now as I said almsot 4 months now-I am holding my breath!!!!
Thanks so much:)

Only need it on one of them . I owned two gsd at a time and only put Frontline plus on one of them...Never had a flea..You do need to put it on every dog ..
If you have one outside put it on that one..if you have 4 dogs put it on two...10 dogs put it on one in house, one in kennel building, one in yard and one other changing choosing of course a female having been bred.

I've been wondering about that - lovemidog
I've been treating all 4 dogs every month and never the cat. The can is always flea free..............
Why does one treated dog take care of the whole pack?
Do you rotate dogs, so one dog isn't always giving the chemicals?
I'm all for saving money - if it makes cents (pun intended) to do so.

You mean I only have to treat ONE dog??
I am treating for ticks too- have bever seen a flea here in 15 years on my animals.
Ticks are my main concern for the Lyme Disease.
Thanks,
katrina
