Was wanting to get some opinions on what people thought are the top of the line working DDR and/or Czech lines out there today.

Ladywolf,
I noticed that your thread was on the second page, and out of 143 viewers, you received not one response.  I myself did not respond last week because I was sure there were many with more knowledge than I on these two camps for good blood lines.  Since no one responded, I will throw in my limited experience here.

First, I would ask you what your definition of "working" lines means?  If you are talking sport, than that is one thing, if you are talking ppds, that is another, if you are talking LE. that may be another as well.  I do not want to insult your intellegence, I just do not know specifically what you are looking for in "working lines".

IMO ddr lines are more in line with ppds. good bone, heads, pigment and health are strong points.  They tend to be more civil, less prey drive that sport reqiures.  Czech as a rule are great for LE.   Personally I like a combination with more emphasis on the Czech.  I know what I like, but cannot say if it is the best ones out there.

Having said all that I would sugest you do as I do, spend time on the internet researching.  I read all I can on the different kennels, blood lines and see what they are producing.  I would also recomend you do what you have done, come on this site.  Perhaps if you reword your thread, some will respond.  I know there are those on here that are quite familiar with Czech lines, (although I do not believe there are any bad check lines, they all come from good breedings and are quite devoted to preserving good dogs).  There are also those on this site that are very familiar with the old ddr lines and which ones come as close to representing the original lines.  Good luck, sorry I was not able to help you specifically with your question.

Thanks for your response.  To be honest, i was more looking for names of lines.  I, too, perfer the combo of DDR and Czech, and I am more interested in the LE area, mainly because I'm in the CJ field.

Any thoughts on particular lines?
