I am trying to understand the new policies of the message board. I noticed that my post, and several others, never appeared on a recent thread (OT on the swine flu virus). I am confident that my post was not offensive, so I was wondering if the thread was locked, and if so, why? When threads are locked is there any way to see that, so that we do not bother to write posts? Thanks much.

? shouldn't be, I haven't deleted any OT swine flu topics and the locked stuff imply prevents you from submitting a new post to a thread, .

I seem to be having trouble posting, too. I also tried to send a PM to you and to another member without success.

I posted a reply on the Swine Flu and it was wiped off by someone a short time afterwards, then i posted again it did not come on at all that time, Perhaps the one doing it is frightened of seeing some of the replies,
Another new Virus for a new year, it is becoming a regular thing for a new Flu virus to hit, Like the Pandemic we were assured was going to happen with the Chicken Flu, a load of rubbish to be sure, it is just to put the frighteners on the guillable ones, and a new virus must i expect have to be paid for

I tried to post on that there addionally also and it did not show up. Basically Flu strains mutate and chang in order to perpetuate themselfs that is the goal of all life forms. It seems that the cases outside mexico are not as severe. Again there are probably many reasons and factors that involved in an outbreak liike that and it is best to respond analytically, with reason, to problems like that,, without sensationalism

New viruses do arise all the time, that is why our government, and others, have areas of research into emerging pathogens. This is partially to combat bioterrorism, but mostly to develop strategies to combat naturally arising pathogens, like this swine flu. Terrorists have plenty of natural material to work with, they do not need to try and make new ones.

I took a look at the thread, it was misbehaving since Yellowrose pasted invalid html code that messed things up. I fixed it.
I really need to figure out how I get this editor to strip table html tags.

That may as well be But as soon as a New Flu problem comes out it is reckoned to be a pandemic, and it is becoming a yearly thing now by the Govenments, and then the guilible people panic, They start blaming all sorts of things and disrupting the normal peoples lives by doing it
There is no need to say things that they are not sure about, and that is fact. THey say the old age should have a basic yearly flu jab, and what does it do nothing at all to stop it,they still contact it one way or the other a complete waste of time
I for one will never have one If i get the flu then it can go the way it came without tablets and this and that .and i have never visted the doctor over a flu problem
the only thing i ever take is Honey and warm water

I too posted something inoffensive and informative to the OT swine flu thread and those posts never got onto the thread. Now I know why.
