OK I tried to put m,y pup in the database and realized I had gone backwards.  So I deleted all the dogs on his mom's side and started over.  I got all them in there up to her mother and even tho her  mother's dad is registered on the database when I try to put it in and complete her mother's pedigree it tells me the sire isn't listed.  I tried to reregister him--it told me there was an error because he already existed.  I have tried pasting and copying to no avail.  Anyone have a suggestion?  Thanks inadvance...............................

Try entering just the first few characters of the sire's first name and then choose him from the list of sires that appears. The database works better this way. For example, if the sire is Lasso di val Sol, just enter the name Lasso and you will see several dogs with that name.

Good Luck,
Bob-O

Thanks Bob for always answering my questions.  However that didn't work either.  It came up with some interesting results but not what I am looking for. I guess that's what I get for trying to register a 1/2 Am 1/2 German dog. LOL.................I hav e triedverything and I am getting frustrated so probably will quit for tonight.  Unless anyone would let me PM them the info and see if they could do it for me?????????  Thanks again.

It took me a couple tries to get a dog listed recently.  I kept getting the same error that the dog was already listed, yet would they say I needed to add the dog.  nasty circle.  I gave up and tried the next day.  It worked using partial names.......  Argh.  Don't know why but it's there.

What's your new pup?  Your boys looking good.

Well I've just been working on it again and still can't get it to enter.  I've tried splitting the name up every way I know how.  So I will work on it again tomorrow. Tine I see you have been doing OK and that's good.  It's not a new pup--it was my one from last year I am just now tring to get entered.  The 1/2 American breeding I did................Sure think she would have made a good SAR dog but now she is 14 months--I had her spayed and don't know i I am going to try Obedience with her or not.  I will try to attach a pic.  Thanks for asking. This is her and her dad together. This is her littermate--we kept him back too and I think he is going to be sent to get ScH titled.

I know that Oli has been busy the last several days making changes to the database, and the pedigree update feature may have been locked for a brief amount of time. I see new pedigrees published so it is evidently working.

One (1) question; are you using Internet Explorer to access this page, or are you using the Firefox web browser that is available from AOL? This is probably immaterial, but I know it has caused issues in the past. If you are not using Internet Explorer please open it after you access the web and then use it to access the pedigree database.  Long shot, I know.

If you are still having issues, please send me an e-mail at Robert.Forbus@robertforbus.com and I will give it a try.

Best Regards,
Bob-O

Hi Bob-O once again thanks.  Jyl figured it all out for me.  What happened was whoever put in the pedigree of my pup's grandfather registered him as a female.  DUH.............Once that was change verything went smooter than silk and today I got both puppers in the pics above registered.  Thanks again for all your help.
