GSD - need home in Tully, NY - owner died - Page 1

Onyx and Zoe are two very special dogs that were owned by a dear friend to GSRCNY. Unfortunately, this dear friend lost her battle with Leukemia at the age of 38. She treasured her two German Shepherds, Onxy and Zoe. Her last wish was that we find them a good home. We hope that someone will open their home to these two special dogs. Onxy is an approximately seven-year old all male black neutered male. He is updated on vaccinations and on heartworm prevention. He does have a touch of arthritis, but he gets around just fine. Onyx does ok with large breed females, but he would not work with another male or small dog. He has had no experience with cats. He knows his basic obedience commands and loves to ride in a car. Onyx can be wary of men, mainly because he lived his life with a single woman that he loved very much. A female household would make Onyx very happy!! Zoe was rescued by GSRCNY in January of 2004 and has been with Onyx every since. She is a five-year old black and tan female that is absolutely gorgeous! She is extremely bonded with Onyx, but she does not do well with other dogs. Zoe does well with both men and women but has no experience with children or cats. She also knows her basic obedience commands. Zoe likes structure and would do best in a home where she learned the rules right away. Zoe is updated on shots, spayed, and on heartworm prevention.

That breaks my heart.

I'm not too far away from Tully, but I have 2 dogs already - one being a male & I have a husband & a cat.

So I'm out of the question

Sorry, I can't afford adoption fees and upkeep. UPKEEP YES............

ANY Takers on the adoption fee??? I Can AND WILL guarantee homes for life on ANY of these dogs, HELP ME SPRING those doing "time" in NY.

kitkat, where did you ee anything about adoption fees? given these cirumstances, e.g. age and health of the gods and the fact that they need to be together - adoption fes are ridiculous. Its sad the woman has died and the dogs need stability, who would dare put money between them and someone that can and will love them?
