Does your dog "STEH" when you say "STEH" in the out of motion? Does he freeze like a statue? Or is your dog a creeeeeeeeeper? Maybe just a little bit?

One of my girls takes a step or two to square herself off. The other one freezes so quick you'd think she was going to somersault. She can do it on a recall, too.

Mine is stuck like glue, no creepies. Only his head moves.

Years ago I had a daisy "wind up the dog next to me" / belly walker / daisy picker... Jack! He was hilarious but frustrating; the smartest dog out, but easily bored and with a sense of humour.
10 min down out of sight was a tense affair for me... mostly, he'd be fine... but you never knew for sure. We worked up to "B" in ob and sooooooo many ob fanatics told me to " knock it out of him and go all the way"... not a chance... Jack was the most fantastic, adorable, loyal, clever and frustrating Shepherd but I wouldn't have changed him for the world... he taught me a LOT about Shepherds! Jack would belly walk and do rolly pollys if he thought he had an audience... it wa lethal to have someone laugh at him!

Depends. Some days he would creep and others rock solid freeze. For one thing, I was careful to give the command when I knew 3 feet were on the ground. Mis-timing causes a lot of the apparent creeps, as the dog must take a step, after being given the command in mid-air.
