New chapter in my life. - Page 1

Hi everyone, before Astra became sick I was lucky enough to obtain a nice mal from a private breeder, Loup Noir Jamari was 8 weeks old when I picked her up. Astra really enjoyed playing with her. Being an old lady I still have enough in me to work two dogs, but as you all know it was not to be. Shelly you were instrumental in telling me get off  my  .... and work that pup. Plus she would drop a ball in my lap and look at me to say the same. I just want to thank everyone for helping through my saddness, I almost lost myself. She is a totally different dog but still loves me the same. She is now 8 months old, I made sure her weight was slow and steady for growth, she is now 68 lbs, 24.5 inches to the shoulders and loves to work. Hi Cee, nice dog. She has good drive and she likes the bitework. One recommendation i would give is when you reward her with the ball, make her come into you for it instead of shoving it in her face. Allow her into your space. It's more gratifing to the dog to get the toy instead of the toy coming to them. I would do a little less tug and put her right to work again. Instead of tugging with the ball for 1-2 min, tug for 20sec. The dog will be even sharper to get the next reward. Have fun. you guys look great.

Mark, I see what you mean, I really like to have my training sessions filmed so I can see what I do. Sometimes you are doing things that you do not know you are doing. I will be more observant with the ball reward. missbeeb did you get tigermouses web cam feed going on your computer? Tracie  how are the puppies and yes I am starting to enjoy myself again. In the beginning I did not think I was going to be able to re-define myself, but I had a lot of people showing me the way.

Those pups will be in their new homes with a full set of new teeth before I get sorted... no, I haven't seen anything yet... I'm inept and impatient with technology LOL... I like the little films like yours, I can manage to view them!  LOL, the joys of old age!
