We know that a bitch around other bitches in heat may bring that one bitch into heat. We know that many bitches in the same household can have the same cycle. I know that when I came home after the birth of my child my bitch came into heat within 2 days. So here is the question of the day - can a female who is MENSTRUATING bring about a bitch into heat?
Have a great day!

Old wives will tell you that having a cat living in the household will syncronise the women in the house's cycles. Who knows. Stranger things have happend :)

THIS IS A GREAT TOPIC. IT ALL DEPENDS ON THE SEXUALITY LEVEL OF THE WOMAN. MY OL GF STINKY HAS SUCH A STRONG AND POWERFUL SEXUAL SCENT THAT HER PHEROMONES ARE RELEASED INTO THE AIR AND WILL AFFECT ALL LIVING CREATURES WITHIN THE AREA. STINKY IS A PHEROMONE MACHINE. SHE WILL BRING IN SEASON ANY FEMALE NEAR HER AND HYPNOTIZE ANY MALE THAT GETS HER SCENT. I CAN ALMOST SENSE OTHER PHEROMONE MACHINES ON THIS BOARD.

My female is acting like she might be coming in earlier than usual after the birth of my baby.
So maybe......
So maybe......

My answer would be no.

Mine too. Menustrating? Why would that bring your dog into heat? Wouldn't it make more sense if you said when you are ovulating? Still sounds too far fetched to be real.
Coincidence me thinks.

I don't think they could come into heat every month!

I've heard of this, but I don't know if there's any truth to it. I'm more apt to think it's coincidence in most cases.
In groups of -human!- females, they will synchronize, with the genetically dominant female being the first to have her cycle. Sometimes the genetically dominant -human!- female is the one who also acts like the "alpha bitch" but it's not always that way. Mensus in women is strongly regulated by pheromones that cause other humans to respond. There have been a few studies that show a man is most affectionate towards a woman when she is ovulating; the chemical triggers released trip the male's brain to subconsciously be aware that she is at her most fertile time.
With women it is speculated that the presence of male pheromones can hold an affect on the frequency and duration of a women's fertility (not necessarily menstral) cycle. I don't know if this is true or not; there are conflicting arguements back and forth as to whether or not males have naturally occuring hormonal cycles.
With dogs, I've noticed it to be that bringing an in-season bitch into a pack of females will frequently trigger them to go into heat as well. Sometimes even if one of them just had her natural heat. It would make sense on a biological level. I can't say I've ever tested this theory. It's just something I've observed over the years.
I'd think it more likely a pack of in-season bitches would cause a human female to ovulate, assuming any cross-over of pheromones occurs. There's simply more pheromones coming off the dogs than the woman. Again, I don't know if such triggers would cross the species boundary though.
