The amended bill is shown. I'm happy to say some of CHAKO's opposition has been taken into account by these specific amendments, but nevertheless, the most substantive of our recommendations were IGNORED, therefore CHAKO's position remains officially opposed to this bill.
SB 250 comes up for a vote in the California State Senate on April 15th in the Senate Local Gov't Committee. Get your letters of opposition in no later than 5:00 PM WEDNESDAY, APRIL 8th.
CALL committee members. We have serious objections to language that does not exempt service dogs, language that allows ONE citation to be grounds for AC sterilizing your dog (not adjudication, just a citation alone) and we have serious concerns about the vague language that says if you make a misrepresentation or omission of fact on your license application, your dog will be sterilized. Those are just SOME of the still-remaining problems.
Please note that you can call the committee right up until Wednesday
morning, April 15th.

Is there an outline already drafted that can be used to oppose? Looking for more detail then what was stated in one of the above posts.
I will gladly forward on to others.
