POST DELETIONS - Page 1

Please put a link to any post which you believe might violate the terms of service (link located at the bottom of this page), and one of the moderators will look into the link, and delete if  it is appropriate. In all the forums I have been on when a post is deleted, the moderator posts an explanation so as to clearly show parameters of the way they interpret the TOS. Without that approach you have no way of clearly letting all see exactly what is acceptable and what isn't. With an international board with different thresholds of criticism depending on region/country/government/ the TOS is subject to a vast difference of interpretation. By explaining reason for deletion, then gradually most will understand the boundaries....JMO

I would hope that this moderation extends beyond merely acting as PR agent for a few selected kennels that churn out dozens of litters per year. Unless this enforecement of the TOS includes addressing the Pennsylvania trailer trash drama, the racist and anti-Semetic posts, and the constant promotion of non-gsds (while bashing the gsd), the "moderation" and moderators will have NO credibility. As Gustav points out, there should also be an explanation stating why the post or thread was deleted and how it violated the TOS. We ALL would like for the board to be more pleasant and have wondered for MONTHS why nothing was done about some the offensive and egregious posts (and posters) allowed to flourish. "Pleasant" is not synonymous, however, with "whimsical," nor with "favoritism." Moderation should do more than protect selected kennels from criticism.
