Super Sieger and Siegerin but the show bombed in most other respects.  Having been there at the first show and each subsequent one I am sad to report that this once great event has now bombed.
With less than a third of  last years spectators in attendance and an entry down by well over a third (even with the padding of schutz dogs entry) the show was disappointing in terms of atmosphere.   What a dissapointment to see Herr Rudi Mai presented with only about twenty odd dogs to judge altogether.   Particularly disappointing was the Working
Male and female classes which had but 4 males and 2 females shown.
Not to take anything from the very worthy winners, I must congratulate the undisputed Sieger, a wonderful dog that could, I believe, take on any challenges, Solo vom Kottersbusch owned by the deserving duo Ken Duggan (Rosebud GSD's) and Paul Reilly (Viaduct GSD's).   Congratulations also to Hughie Rooney who chalked up another first with his home-bred/German trained female Marleycrest Enya who took the top honours with VA1 & Siegerin.  Hughie and Obama believe in the same thing "yes we can."
In addition  to the disappointments I mentioned a serious assault on a spectator that needed police investigation left a very sour taste in the mouths of most people.
What a pity and what a waste of what used to be an enjoyable show.

I hope the GSA and or all involved in the organisation of what is and should be the biggest and best event of the year will look back at the last 2 years and reflect. This years was a particularly poor event from the low entry level to the attendence not forgetting all the bullshit set up rules(12) and the underhandedness that was evident  was a direct reflection as to how bad this event has become, and unless a remarkable effort to rectify all the issues that seem to  surround the organisers time and time again I fear that the Irish Sieger will become a laughing stock. If this has not already become the case as we had some very serious GSD people from Holland, Norway, and indeed Germany, not to mention the people who traveled from the UK. whom must all have found it a laugh.

Thankfully the day was salvaged somewhat by the wonderful display from some of the top dogs and bitches in particular all the last two classes well done to all who qualified and competed 3 VA titles where handed out and deservedly so.

Last word: Many Irish people will not be entering your show next year unless things improve and when there are shows like the one ran in bolton on the same day I would expect alot of our neighbours will stay at home as this by all accounts seemed to be a spectacular event. Maybe this commitee would do us a turn and organise our next Sieger.

Congratulations to a very worthy Sieger and Siegrin and all other class winners on the day thankfully justice prevailed in almost all classes against all odds.

Indeed R Mai did not look to pleased he actually looked pissed off and bored most of the time and one question i asked myself is why did they even pay for him to come over and judge?6 classes and two classes only had 2 entries Cedric judged more dogs even he had more to do because the bite work was over in 15 minutes, after all with what happened the year before the GSA just need to sort this its not hard. The day is long enough to let the SV German judge to judge all the dogs and the bitework so be it if you have to do away with the baby classes there was only 3 or 4 dogs shown in them and i believe that because so much of the show rests on the bitework why cant they just fly over a helper from germany or holland with the judge like they do for the trails they that i think is the only way people will travel to this sieger show again because it was very boring and would it tale much to get a bar there for people to chat?

that aside congraatulations to the winners especially the sieger and siegerin
