Not that I'm proud of my club or anything.

Nice!  I always like to see good press for the sport.  Well done.

You know damn well I agree! I only bought 3 copies of the paper to send the article to friends in other states. The reporter, and the photog, did a very good, fair job. There were no misquotes and they didn't make the club out to be "attack dog" nuts. I hope they come back for the trial in April.

Send them an invite.  Tell them breakfast or lunch is on the club.

Already done. :-) I invited the writer to to come to the trial, and bring the photog, during the interview. :-)

Sue, I admit to being very apprehensive about what type of article it would turn out to be. But, the reporter, Lisa Pemberton, did not screw us. The quotes she used were accurate and she presented it "as it is." I don't think she had any preconceptions. The impression I got was that the photographer had seen the training, while driving past on the road, stopped to check itout and got in touch with Les Flores. After some discussion with the photographer, the Floreses agreed to an article. The photograher spent a couple of days with us, including our Work Weekend. He was impressed with the training, the dogs (we let him see how stable and social those fearsome dogs on the field were off the field, and the relationships within the club. The club is the best group of people you could hope to find in the sport. That may be the one thing the article missed: the real camaraderie in the club. There is a lot of laughter, support and affectionate teasing. All but maybe a couple of members readily laugh at themselves as much as at anything else. :-) We all have a great time at club. It's like a family gathering, without the drama. :-) Maybe the next article will get that. :-)
