Hi guys, I have a female in heat, my male got out with her. I went to grab him and he mouthed me. I don't know if I am explaining it right. He put his teeth around my arm a second, He didnt add pressure, not at all. He has never dont that. Did I mess up and not put a leash on him? or put her away instead of him. Dog has never done this. I have had him for almost three years now. Thank you

I would not worry about it since you interupted him at an er,uh "sensitive" moment.  Some males get down right hostile when interupted.  Now if he should mouth you again under ordinary circumstances you need to correct him swiftly and let him know this will not be tolerated.  You need to be more careful about keeping them apart and protect your female if not breeding her etc.  Males and females can be very touchy during this time and will forget themselves.  They can also be very tricky at achieving their goal so don't assume anything and definately use a leash on the male.
