Well, they are finally here (most of them anyway, more are on the way as we speak). Bowien and Hanz have given me a workload. Right now I have three beautiful baby girls and two bouncey baby boys. I am so pround of my brood as they are each born into my hands its like the miriacle is new all over again. I will respond to this post when I have a final tally.
I guess Bowien is quite the fertile German shepherd. Nothing is for sale, I just wanted to send the birth announcement out because, I have worked on this for many years and have spend many hours of planning and countless dollars on my little project. Although, if she doesn't stop soon I may have to many on my hands. <chuckle>
Thank you to all that offered good helpful advice and for those who didn't well, I've got to many wonderful happy puppies to care. I will get pictures up as soon as I find the cord to my camera.

The girls total 6
The boys total 3
Boys were 4 but I had to sleep (all night affair) and she had one more it was the last one and when I got back to her room he was already dead. I was so sad. I know she had a lot but even one little life lost makes me feel like I did not do my part.
I have a bazillion pictures, but I STILL can't find that dang camera cord. I will either buy a new cord or a different camera and pictures up soon. BUT, man was that a lot of puppies or what? Is nine a normal size or is it a big litter?
They are SOOOO cute. I love new little puppy noises. I hope all your little shepherds are well and happy.
I really need to catch up on my sleep.

Congratulations 9 puppies is a very good litter, sorry for the one you lost, even if you had been there there you may not have been able to save him.
I always have a bed in the whelping room and that is where I sleep for the next week or 2, depending how the bitch is coping.
Good luck with them and grab a nap when you can you are going to be very busy.
We will be waiting on pictures.

Okay I have given up on the cord, but here is a picture from my phone.
This one already has another grandma and grandpa. He is a little red and black male.
Side note. My male went into Bowien's room and was overseeing the whole process. It's like he knew and he wanted to be there to. It was such a beautiful occasion and everyone seemed so happy. Well, maybe Bowien was a little tired, but she still seemed happy to have us there offering her support.

Oh I am soooo jealous...puppy breath. He looks gorgeous. Looking forward to more pictures! (sorry about the loss but as dogshome9 said, you may not have been able to do anything for him, but we all know how it hurts.)
