I suspect the bottom photo was taken more recently and shot in black and white to create a nostalgic look.

I didn't bother with ronnies post but the treadmill looks nicely restored whoever owns it.
Or custom built. Something seems off tho.

The dog doesn't look "old style" in type, so it doesn't look like an old picture to me, but one line of ancestry for today's GSD was a longer-coated heavier built herding dog. So the coat factor--and drop ears--has been in the breed a long time, albeit these features were being bred away from. This type of dog was interbred with a type herding dog that was probably also the ancestor for today's Malinois and Dutch Shepherd to create the GSD breed.
