In the last night Karl Wiegand, breeder of the kennel "zum Lahntal", died. The German Shepherd Dog lost a friend who has escorted and influenced the race over 50 years. For the most friends of the German Shepherd Working Dog the name "Greif Lahntal" is significant.
I have learnd a lot of about breeding and the German Shepherd Dog from Karl. Through his stories the dogs which we can read in the pedigrees a lot of generations ago was alived. He started to train German Shepherds over 50 years ago and he doesn't lost the relatinship untill the end.
I will missing him, as a friend and as an expert in breeding and training. The world of the German Shepherd Dog ist more poor now.
