Im looking for a GSD breed club for ringcraft training. Ideally from North London to Midlands area but willing to travel a reasonable distance for a good club, it would be nice to find a club where the members are willing to handle other peoples dogs and not just their own dogs as I am on my own . I have already searched for some clubs but their websites are down so dont know if they are still in existance or just the internet playing up.  Hope you can help.

So I take it there arent any breed clubs in the middle of the UK anymore I did wonder as various websites are down. So how does a single person train a dog nowadays?

Ann, have a look on the Jaquenetta website... they're advertising show results on a thread here, they have a list of breed clubs on their site.

Ann just google German Shepeherd Dog Breed Council. This is the web site that has all the GSD clubs in the British Isles listed. From there if there are no web site addressess there are contact names & addresses.

Thank you for the info  but that was my initial port of call, I tried the BC website, the league and through the videx site but the various sites are down like Leicester GSD, Midland Counties and Essington, so I did think I would get some help on here considering how many people visit this site that someone might recommend a club that is still going that does breed training. I will go back to ringing I just didnt want to disturb people who had nothing to do with the clubs any more - hey ho. Thank you anyway for commenting. I must admit I do wonder if its worth getting back into showing in the UK I havent done so for quite a few years and thought I might give it another try, I went to the British Sieger last year but only stayed for a couple of hours as I wasnt part of any click I felt totally out of it I wondering if this is going to be the same all over. Best bet is to email Sheila Rankin (Sec BC) and get her to email you some phone numbers, Ann!  Of course you should have a go... there are some really nice people too!

Her email addy is on the BC site.
