Just thought I would share what I've found to work for my 11 year old GSD with her severe arthritis. It is called Perna or New Zeeland sea mussel. I have tried everything from K9power to springtime, to Glucosamine, MSM, and the list goes on. The only thing that worked for her is naturmix's WalkAbout, but they no longer carry it. They did tell me the main active ingredient is the Perna, so I googled it. It has worked wonders for my girl. She no longer whines in pain and acts like a huge puppy playing and running. I told someone else about this and they have found it works really good with their GSD( had to have hip surgery) as well. They said their GSD is acting like the surgery never happened. Anyway, I thought I would share this in case anyone is having trouble with their dog's arthritis or joint pain. No I do not sell this stuff just wanted to share.
You can find it here at a very good price, www.vitacost.com

Went on site and put in PERNA and entered it and it didn't find a match...what it came up with is PINA....Is that right?

Yes it's actually for humans (can be used on dog's) but I just grind it up to a powder form and put it in my 11 year old GSD's food. I should actually take some myself :-)
