A few years ago I knew one hard core tail chaser. It would have been interesting to see test result based on this study.

Like I really would want more of them! Sadly, looking at some of the adverts on Petfinder, it possibly is the best place to get one of your own.

A nice GSD in one of my classes just had his tail amputated because he was chasing and catching it. That resulted in injury and he chased the bandages non-stop. Funny to watch, but the dog was obsessed. I haven't heard an update yet, to see if the amputation "cured" him.
