Ok when you live in small quarters and have a bitch in heat - who I am ready to spay myself (just kidding) how do you deal.
The males seem to take turns with their screaming and whining.
It is slowly driving me insane.   This is our 2nd heat with her sept was last but our one male was younger not a year guess he has matured!
Gonna take her to a friends place for the night and let her stay so we can sleep and will get her spayed ASAP.
But this is a friggin joke.
How do you deal with it.
Breeders I guess have Kennels to keep males and females far apart?

Ours are just in the same house on different floors but we must be in prime heat as they are going looney!

And I am starting to go looney!

Put the males outside in a safe hard core kennel..that 's what you do.
Better be one with iron bars all around.
You have started a bad habit which may not be solved now...
Pack leader you now must be.

It is just like training a male dog to ignore when on the schutzhund field a female in heat..but you must be pack leader with a strong hand.  You could do it but if you haven't had the experience to do it before it is something you should get help with.
There is a way to do it and it requires hard correction and some time to do it in.

well the first one was not so bad so thought second would be ok as well.
The older guys is more laid back and would like at it but the younger dog who is 18months
has lost his mind.
Just waiting for friend to get home and Voxi will be going for a few days.
She has been in heat about two weeks so we must be in prime time and we dont need any pups!

All of mine.. live in the house.... kennels for the day.. but you deal with it.... we try to set up so they have as little contact as possble but we hav a ranch and no basement...

Don't spay her too soon after her cycle... her hormones need to level off  and go back to normal for a bitch who's not in heat....

Thanks DKiah that was my next question how long til we can spay her.

And Mark has training tomorrow hopefully the guys can get it together.
Hey sometimes at trials bitches are in heat and they have to deal with it so this is a little pre-trial training!

You got crates - right?  Questions?  are you going to keep the male dog in tack?  Female  - spay at some time?  The male can big fixed now. - if not going to breed?.... my dog's both live inside - my  male is fixed - my female - had her first heat - just ended in fact...  I don't care for it any more than you do...Make you freakin crazy....  shuffle dog's ....Nuetored dogs - still want it.... .. One out - one in - one out - one in...  21 days of the crap....  to boot - I got a another male dog -that is in tack - and up and coming.... yea ha...

Decide which you want fixed - if not either - live with it and shuffle the dogs... one in - one out...., they are sneaky little devils - watch them like a hawk...

If you have a garage, put her in a crate there and don't let the male know where she is or see her. Works for me

I have 2 intact males, I have 2 bitches in heat,
I have my lab in a crate in my house & my favorite Theo gets to run around loose in the house, the 2 girls
in heat are in crates on my enclosed deck.
My lab was whinning alittle and I told him to shut-up!

When I take my lab outside to go, he has to run by their crates, yes, he does dance around abit in front of them,
but I tell him OK let's go & he listens.

I think you need to do more training in the "Shut up & Leave" it department
