where can i find imformation on my dogs tatoo

Where did you get the dog? Is it a rescue? I would start by contacting the SV.

The dog was a rescue and i was wondering if there was a data base for tatoo dogs that are found

Not that I am aware of. AKC and/or the SV would the first places to start. I presume that this dog was scanned for a micr-chip? Where is the tattoo located? Ear or inner thigh? If it's ear, it is probably a pure-bred registered with one or the other of AKC or SV. Inner thigh is going to be tougher to track down.
