Has anyone dealt with a pup that had/ has PRAA? We just pup a pup through the surgery. How did your dogs do -8 months later?

Wow! hats off to you for doing the surgery to keep this pup alive! I have had one puppy with this a couple years ago and had to have her put down. She was literally starving to death because of the Mega E that occurred with it. :(

Hi, I was thinking about your puppy a couple of days ago and thought of emailing you. He looks great, nice and plump, he should do well. How long since he had surgey?
My puppy that had PRAA was not able to maintain his weight and was quite thin by the time he had surgery and he still did well post op and he is almost 3 years old now with no ongoing problems.
Sending you best wishes for a full recovery.

Thank you very much dogshome9. Shes 6 weeks old had the surgery was on tuesday and she came home wednesday. She acts like nothing is wrong.. Of course the vet says she shouldn't do much playing but how do you keep a 6 week pup from playing. Glad to heart your dog did well. We've been getting mixed feed back from people we've talked to that have done the surgery so it's nice to hear about one that did well.
