Brent, no need to apologize, man...I feel strongly about not making a dog suffer too.  I also admit to being dramatic when my dogs have an injury.  And Apollo (registered name Dance) has a brother with severely bad skin I was told and other siblings of his mother (Action van het Bleekhof) have produced skin and ear problems in their progeny so that scares me on the genetic side.  I talked to my beloved vet and he made me feel better.  When there was the light yeast smell and a sore, I thought we were starting over.  My vet comforted me and said it's under control now, the initial problems were based on neglect, poor food, fleas, unsanitary conditions, allergies, chronic diarrhea, worms, and such and now with the care he receives, there is no reason we should digress to the condition he was in when I got him. The first pics are what he looked like when I got him.  The kennel owner where he was at went all ballistic and won't release his papers because one of the people I emailed the pics to, trying to figure out what to do and if it was an emergency vet thing or could wait until morning, called her and called her out.  I called and though I was very pissed (and scared that Apollo wouldn't make it), I was nice and she agreed to release the papers to me...it's neither here nor there, with the genetic problems he can't be bred, I don't breed, I just wanted pink papers framed and hanging on my wall...I'll live.  Anyway, my camera battery was near dead, I was in a hurry, and he was moving every time I got a pic (though he was so weak he hardly moved at any other time).  There were areas on his back, back of rear legs, and his entire tail was pure sores, like the ones on the link you posted, 4 Pack only there was enough hair to keep most of the sores covered unless you really looked...and if you felt, all you could feel on his whole body was sores.  Most sores were really deep.  Much of the hair on his tail in the first pictures came out the next day when the vet said I could bathe him and it was just these, deep, oozing sores.  I was actually tearing up feeling all the sores on him and how bony he actually was and the last time I cried was...too long to remember ago, I'm not a very soft person when it comes to tears, but I was shaken...too Apollo was so open to treatment and so compliant, he knew he was getting help and he wanted it. . Sorry for the lack of quality and focus on the original pics, but I was panicking and trying to get some pics fast to more knowledgeable people quick to find out if he could just drink Pedialyte and make it through the night.  You can't see the severity of the original sores....much of the hair on his back was missing and sores were in it's place.  Anyway, next time I panic, I'll post pics so you guys know what I'm talking about.  Thanks so much to everyone for all the help!  And in getting him to the point he's at today, if anyone needs any of the info or treatments involved in getting him more normal, PM or email me.  Also my vet informed me that Bedadine (spelling??), you know, the iodine, first aid stuff kills yeast so going to get some of that tomorrow.  Thanks all and take care.  Pics coming up....

Where you can see red hair, there are deep sores under the hair
You can kind of see the sores
That's how red his ears were, they were full of gunk, he couldn't actually hold them any way other than the way in this pic
