I have a male with horrible allergies and it looks like I'm ordering Dinovite tomorrow so I'd love any feed back on it...especially before I send them money...lol. We've tried about everything but the dog still gets sores on his back and has yeast infections on his lips (yeast infections in his ears have been controlled for a few months). We've recently gone to total RAW (was using Raw and mixing supplements with EVO Red Meat, but then I decided to go all RAW). He broke out really bad at first transition over to the raw and now he's down to just a few sores...I've heard this is "de-toxing". At any rate, I think the Dinovite might actually help him. Any input?
Next up, the female in my avatar, Heidi, my 5-ish year old rescue. When she was younger she had this awesome soft coat. For the past couple of years, her coat has been dull and course. When she was younger, her hair was much thinner but soft and shiny. I didn't change foods when her coat changed. I have tried a couple of different foods through the past couple of years but still a dry, brittle, course, dull coat. Dinovite for her or ...?
My stud male, beautiful dog, beautiful coat, soft and shiny. I want to keep it that way. He has a beautiful deep black that the more it shines, the more awesome he looks, so does he need a supplement to keep him looking awesome and give his coat a little boost, or just maybe some fish oil?
Hit me with opinions please guys. I'd love to hear what you've used, what you've used it for, and how it worked.
Thanks,
Nichole

I use CPN Structure and Vertex. I did get a batch of dinovite and used it for a couple of my dogs until it ran out - didn't really see a difference good or bad. I do like to supplement my dogs though and have used CPN Vertex and Structure for over 10 years now for working, older, breeding dogs and puppies.

For my females I have been using Show Stopper. I get it from www.k9power.com it is the best coat supplement that I have used. Their coats are awesome when on it.

For your female's coat I recommend showstopper www.k9power.com It is really good and you can tell a difference. My dog's weren't shedding as bad and their coats were shiny and soft. For your boy's allergies I have not a clue b/c I haven't had that problem yet. You could look into Hokamix though. Not sure if that can be used for allergies but I've heard good things about it, www.naturmix.com

Is this the Dog that was on a thread that has been removed, My last post for the skin allergies was let it live a life outside in the fresh air ,all it needs is a shed to get into with a bed and a back yard better it it has a bigger garden The Central heating will not work with dogs with skin allergies give it what you like it will be the same as if you did not give them
Let it live in the fresh air, Feed it a non grain kibble put salmon oil on the morningfeed or feed it raw You will see a change in one month and if you do not rthen i will leave this forum for good, and never post again, Why do i saythis. Having kept dogs outside for 57 years without ONE problem with the skin or anything else tells me i am right the only thing they died of was old age, and the youngest to ever die was over 14 years old, Vets bills negliable only at the end of there liives
What you will see happens if the Dog lives outside
You will see the dandruff flaking skin come up to the top and the sores will dry up. If it is on Meds as per the last thread i am thinking of, then carry on whist it lives outside it may speed it up, In one month you will see a different dog thats for sure
But the main thing is to let it live a life in the fresh air

Kreiger,
I've been doing basically the same is you, only RAW instead of kibble. I am seeing some results but I need a little more edge. And one big question for you, I want my male on Apple Cidar vinager, no matter how small of an amount I mix into how much water, he won't touch it. I managed to sneak a teaspon full in some liver I'd put in the blender, but that's been my only success. What's your secret? My other two have no problems with it, but the one who really needs it won't touch it.
I like the sounds of Show Stopper for my female. I'm going to follow this thread for a bit and see if I see anything I like better but I doubt I will. I think Show Stopper will be perfect for my girl, also she's getting older so the extra joint care is a big plus, she has no problems and I want to keep it that way. I don't know what size to get....what's the serving sizes on Show Stopper?
Thanks all,
Nichole

Can't you find ACV in tablets? I swear I've seen them...

by NWilz on 10 March 2009 - 17:03
Jenni, oh cool....I never thought of that. I have to go shopping tomorrow and will drop by the health food store and see if I can find them.
Thank you,
