The economy being what it is and all, anyone have advice on extending the life and/or proper cleaning of rolled leather tugs, like the black Gappay, 2 handle models?  Mine have become so saturated with dog saliva that they are hard as a wood stick until they get “worked in” each session.  If I try to flex them to loosen up before tugging they are starting to crack.  If there is nothing that can be done, no problem – I just figured I’d try to save them or at least care for the next batch a little better.

Thanks for any advice,

-Calvin
