Why don't you just check the MULTIPLE THREADS about him on this forum.  There is a search function.

by hodie on 05 March 2009 - 20:03

Just for starters, try these by searching on his name. The link below shows numerous threads and there were many others that have disappeared since they are two years old.

He has been discussed repeatedly. I hope you are not one who ended up with a starved, dead, or "lost" dog after entrusting the dog to him.

This was not my dog. Thankfully, the owner took it back just before this photo was taken, and before the dog died. It was one of several in such condition, or dead, or "lost".

If you need to hear from another person who knows firsthand how he starved dogs, send me a PM. I have a friend who had to drive across the country to save the life of a young male GSD that was pitifully starved. I'll put you in touch with her if you like.

The Infamous Ray Jeffers!!!!

by hodie on 06 March 2009 - 17:03

Yes, get this....Apparently, now he is part of some sort of "animal welfare" board as part of his county commissioner position. He continues to be good buds with the cops and the animal control people, working the cops dogs. So he is essentially shielded from complaints about his neglect of the dogs entrusted to him. As far as we know, he also never paid the judgment rendered against him for the "lost" dog. As Two Moons would say, SSDD. There is no justice. What a joke.

I find this very funny that because you don't like something you are trying to dig up stuff on people.  Who is next?   Have you connected all the players? I don't think so.  You don't even have the right ones. Maybe we should do the same on you.  Paper trails are hard to destroy. Slander and harrassement are easy to prove if it is written. APS and PETA members jump to conclussions all the time.

controlledkayos, or should we say Ray or a crony of his.....

We have been over this before. It has NOTHING to do with whether someone likes this man or not. It does have to do with his neglect, if not outright abuse, of several dogs. It does have to do with his not paying up on a judgment that was entered against him on behalf of the owner of one of the dogs who was "lost". It does have to do with the fact that because he knows the "right" people, nothing was done to see that he was held accountable for his actions. He is damn lucky that he was not prosecuted for his actions. Too bad that is the case. But, that does not mean that many people will forget what he did.

But then, you know all this don't you? This is neither slander or harassment. Perhaps you ought to get your facts straight and then you will know that the truth hurts, and yes, we do know most, if not all of the players here. What role do you want to play except the "dishonest defender" who either knows what happened and condones it, or does not want to know and therefore, when it is brought up, wants to jump in with a RARE post to try to discredit those posting the truth? Want to try to discredit all whose dogs he neglected or abused, or killed? Keep it up because when you post, we can get all who were involved to start posting again and that helps keep his name in front of all people who say they love dogs. It keeps his name in front of anyone who would be so nuts to consider sending a dog to him for training. And, it keeps his name before all those in his own county who care to know that this man has no character. Jump right in!

Update: No, Ray Jeffers has still not paid the judgment rendered against him approximately two years ago. This judgment was for the woman whose dog he claimed he "lost". The judgement is over $1,000 now, but he continues to blow her off about it. Yet he is serving as a country commissioner and now on some animal welfare board. How does this go on? Person County must be one of the most crooked places in the country. Apparently, having friends in the cop shop and on animal control is all one needs to starve and kill and "loose" dogs.
