this will be my first german shepherd. not too sure which one to get. both are from same litter and 5 months old. male and female. is the male long coat or plush ?

I put your pics up for you.
I think the male is a coatie from all the ear hair but hard to tell. Maybe someone else will chime in and tell you for sure. I like the female. Both are nice looking dogs.

Depends on their personalities, drive, what you plan to do with them, what you're active life is like and personal preference, none of us can help evaluate what the best match would be with just pictures. They both look nice though.

thanks for the pictures. i saw the male and just fell in love with em, lol . he was a mini stud dog. another question both of them were like chunky so were mum and dad. breeder told me the male would be around 120-130lbs. my cousin have a 6 month gsd shoe but he looks like ntn infront of these 2 dogs. he was asking 1500 for male and 1300 for female. not sure if the mum and dad are hip checked. parents have pink papers and comes from Czech (akziz kennel).

In regards to looks, I think the female has more lively expression, the male is a long coat minding you I am a learner not an expert.

im considering buying a male. when i saw the female and tried to pet her, she backed out and started barking up in the air. maybe her attitude wasnt good, the male was pretty chill and was DEEEEPPP rich red.

Can you post their pedigrees on here? No way would I spend this kind of money without knowing that the parents both have certified hips/elbows and titles. You need to focus on pedigree and background here, not how pretty the pups are. I learned my lesson about thoroughly checking out a dog before purchasing it. You cannot get puppyitis and just snatch up the first thing you see. It's hard to walk away from any nice looking dog when what you want to do is get one NOW. But you can save yourself a lot of heartache but doing your research. If the parents check out good, have titles and have sound temperaments then ask the breeder, based on what you plan on doing with your pup, which does he think is a better dog for you. Of the two, I prefer the female as I don't care for the longcoats. But I would do some temperament testing on both to make my decision.

Slow it down do not buy anything that is not from Parents that have been Hip and Elbow Scored
Get everything up front
You can Buy a Pup with all the Qualifications you need and a beautiful bred one at that for the price you are paying
Of course the Pups look okay visually they would but like us people it is what is inside and what you cannot see counts more, Go steady in what you buy otherwise you will get your fingers burnt and no one wants to see that
If you are interested in a really top class bred Pup at a reasonable price with Guranteed Health Scores on the Parents and Titled to ScHh 1 - 3 Father KKL1 then send me a PM i will put you in touch but the Pup will be 8 weeks old when you get it so you can inprint the good things the right way But that is up to you, and you will not be played about that i gurantee
