How many people watch the TV show, "It's me or the Dog"?  Any opinions or comments?  Personally I like to watch it although I think she's probably too soft for some dogs.  I think the most entertaining part is the owners and the way they let their dogs rule.  What are your thoughts?

Fun to watch. Not always convincing. I like Caesar Milan too, but its good to remember I'M NOT HIM.

I love to watch that show just to see how people are getting run by there dogs...lol....it reminds me of when I was a child and my 2 huskys use to walk me instead of me walking them...I enjoy the things she says as far as why they do things but I take everything with a grain of salt.

I've seen every episode of both "Its me or the dog" and "Dog whisperer". I like Dog whisperer better, but Shelley is right, I can TRY what he does but I'm not him; I don't get results from a look, forward motion, or touch haha. As for "me or the dog", if she came to train my dog, she'd throw most of my supplies away (she believes prongs and E Collars are torture devices, even though I use them very responsibly and professionaly, as do many). The owners of those dogs tho! The little yappy dogs who attack everyone, even their owners! Dear God! I'll watch just for the looks so gives the camera when she does her initial consultations :)

I can't stand being witness to so many moronic people who shouldn't raise a kid much less a dog.

Had to comment on this one...

Entertaining show, but totally nauseating when the owners are practically making out with their dog.  Most recently the gentleman who cuddled in bed with his dog... cooing noises & kisses around the neck - massaging... etc. while his girlfriend was ignored.   Seriously, I thought the guy was going to have an orgasm while he spooned & fondled his dog.    Affection towards your dog is one thing...  treating his dog  like it was his  girlfriend in bed was enough to make me gag.

Otherwise, with the camera's rolling and  making a t.v. show AND working with pet owners, I think she is very diplomatic and good at what she does.  I have to say her expressions when owner behaviors are over the top crack me up.

I haven't watched the topis show but have a question for those of you that watch Ceasar.   I, of course, am not him either, but for fun, have tried his technique on dog aggresive females.  My question is .......... it works great when everyone is in the room, but in real life ........... like when you have to go to the bathroom or get the mail ......... how well do you think it holds up?

I never tried it and don't think I ever could regaurdless of how calm subbmisive they were while I was in the room.

Really would like to know what you guys think.

I think every pet owner should watch both of the show's maybe they would get it why working line people have the kind of approch they do to their dog's and it has nothing to do with being bad owners but more establishing pack structure early on. I myself even though I own prongs and other training equipment's I choose to train my dog's through establishing good bond and using toy's and play time as a reward for obedience work, but I do understand that sometimes you need to use prong's and e-collars to polish the obedience.

Oh my GreanEarth, that's too funny.   I have some friends with a 90lb boxer that sleeps in between them in their bed.  Let's just say I think the dog gets "more" than the husband does!

I prefer Victoria Stillwell atleast ten times more over Mr Millan.
Most of them are pet dogs and for petdogs her methods are way better- not just for pet dogs exclusivly mind you.
Mr Millan uses more force then necessary at most occations. lots of quik fixes that don't last- for his "red zone" cases, too.

I am more for behavior modification than supression.
