Need some help from you pros,

I have a 9 week pup at home from a sire called Hammer Z Dragon.  I just did a double take at his pedigree b/c I didn't notice the first time that there seems to be some really close breeding.  I have Grim Z Pohranicni Straze in the line twice and also a dog called Velmi Dobry Majk Anrebi.  The seem very closely related.  Is this normal?  Thanks for any input.

The question is where in the pedigree generations is Grim? And Velmi Dobry is a conformation rating, not part of the dog name. The dog is named Majk Anrebri. And yes, depending on just how close the relatives are, it is done and permissible. But there are also issues that can arise with close breedings.

I would suggest finding someone that knows about the Czech working lines because most of the dogs in Hammer Z Dragon come from Czech working dogs/police dogs. Also when you look at the 7 generation pedigree there are many dogs not even listed and this sometimes can be the case with the Czech bloodlines. I don't know if this would be the same case if you actually had the 5 generation pedigree of the sire and the dam. The first 5 generations of this dog's pedigree speaks for itself. The line breeding of a dog similar depending upon the bloodlines crossed would not worry me but the next generation would need to be a complete outcross. Without knowing enough about the Czech bloodlines it is difficult to say if line breeding so closely is ok. The German lines are more predictable when the person breeding knows how to cross the bloodlines to improve the dogs There is a lot of line breeding on this males pedigree which shows that he was bred to create intense working dogs for police work/border patrol or Schutzhund/DVG. However, this bloodline would not be a typical household pet so hopefully you didn't purchase with this being the intention for the puppy, because it will be a puppy that needs to have something to do to keep it busy.
Good luck I hope this answers your question.

thanks for the info.

No, he will not be a bored house dog.  He will be working his whole life for my disabled hubby.  Our other GS is up to the task but we received her when she was a little older and was past the prime socializing age, and I have been working my ass off with her ever since.  She is trained to do everything she needs to do, but she can be a little unpredictable out of the house, so it is everyday training.  She is not people aggressive, just doesn't like strange dogs until she gets a long introduction and that won't fly with everyday outings.  This little guy already goes everywhere to train for the service dog job.  When my other dog is 100% with other dogs, she gets to do schutz.

Btw, Grim looks to be about the fifth gen back on both maternal and also paternal side if I am reading this right.
