Im a young helper and i like to study film.

Can anyone give links to excellent helper work. Notice I say helper work, because being a helper is different than being a Decoy.

Helper work and decoy are the same thing. If you have someone helping you by letting your dog bite you, I would say they are helping you. If not, you should not be letting your dog bite them, unless it is an experienced dog and your are training a new helper.

Helper is the word most Sch people use for their decoys......

Decoys are what Ring, PSA, and Police handlers call their helpers.

In the old days, they were all agitators.

You say tomato, I sya tomato.

As for videos, my club is setting up it's own YouTube page. You can see my helper,or decoy work, whatever you want to call it.

I just think that you can be a certified decoy but not a very good helper. Just because you know a routine does not mean you can make a dog great or bring out its full potential. I do see your point GET A REAL DOG and in a way i agree with you. Anyone that takes a bite from your dog is in a way helping you.

Ok I see what you are saying.

Yes their is a big difference between being a trail decoy and a training decoy. Big difference.

I stick with the training aspect of it these days. Trail work is for the young guys
