Hi Everyone!
If you guys that have your photo's of OFA Fair's I would love to see as many as possible, no Good's
or excellent's just fairs, I have one dog with a fair but never kept the photo, and the others were good,
I see some fairs that people post, that actually look like they should go good...
Just curious, it would be a learning experience, as they say you learn something new everyday!

Thank you all so much !!!!

I've had a few people make an educated guess that my dog will come back "fair" based on the digital pics I took, but I won't know  officially for a couple weeks.  If this thread is still around I will post back!  I hope you get a lot of responses here, it would be very educational for me as well!

This is my male, he came back OFA Fair at 6 years of age.   He was "a" normal at 12 months......

WOW!!!!

I would personally have given him an OFA GOOD!

Those hips are deep into the sockets!

Do you think they graded them like that because of age.................?

BS  BS  BS

I mean maybe the hip pictured on the right side as you're looking at the photo, the ball may not be as round as the other side, BUT, I would have to say that one side is excellent and the other side is good

Thank you so much for your contribution!

And did you know that that dip that you see in the femoral head is actually normal,

yes I agree - one would hope that OFA would take age into consideration, and regardless of age I can't see why they would rate those hips fair - they look good to me and IMO should have been rated as such, especially due to his age.

Rezkat5  I agree you got rooked on that rating! I think I got rooked as well but I didn't have the foresight to have the xrays sent back. This was almost 3 years ago. My vet said to him one hip looked excellent and  the other "not quite as good" so a "good". He had xrayed dogs in the past and was always on the money. At any rate IMO your dogs hips look very good for his age. I had a pup I bred years ago come back excellent at like 72 months, so I don't think age comes into play with OFA.

Another example of this is Andy Maly Vah. He has OFA's done at 5 or 6 years old. They looked very good me me. He got an OFA "fair". I think they should have been good. I will try and find the xray when I get home tonight from work.

I know....I think those hips looks pretty darn good for a 6 year old dog who's been doing Schutzhund and Herding his entire life.  Obviously not dyslastic and has worked pretty hard his whole life.

This was Lexie who was OFA excellent and "a" normal.  Gonna see if I can get the two of them side by side here.....

Well that didn't work LOL.....     Her's is obviously better positioning......Tough to get my lanky boy straight   LOL
