The pup will pick up mom's behavior. Dogs learn a -lot!- from each other. That, and the pack mentality where dog-aggressive individuals tend to mob up against a perceived "threat" given the oppertunity.
I'd walk them separately while mom is having her behavior worked on. Mom does not have to love other dogs, but she should be able to traffic politely around them and ignore them. Insofar as finding a class for mom, there are trainers who specialize in working with dogs who have dog-aggressive issues.
A good reference to trainers is your vet; and be sure that you and your dog feel comfortable working with a trainer you chose. Not all methods work for all dogs, so a good trainer will be able to figure out what is causing mom to react aggressively, what type of aggression it is, and how to minimize it.
