Hi, Veronica here. Yep, I bred Worthy's Farouk B out of my good producing bitch Zulma, who is the littersister to Zidane van't Leefedaalhof, WUSV. Farouk's sire is Zidane v.h. Sevens. WUSV. Great producer.
Farouk B. was my personal favorite of the litter, and he was a very black sable when little.
I did not have the foresight to keep a reservation on the litter for myself, as I was planning to do the breeding again, and then that did not happen after all. I really regretted not keeping a reservation on that litter, I fell in love with Farouk, but I had reservations on all of the male puppies, so I let a buyer changer her mind about her female pick and kept a bitch from the litter instead. Farouk Berkamm. destroyed several shirts and pants while they were still on my body by leaping up and fastening onto them...and sometimes my skin. I loved that puppy! I cried all the way to the airport when I took him to be shipped out to Mexico. I had him until he was about three months old, while trying to figure out how to get him exported to Mexico correctly, so I had a lot of fun playing with him until he left me for his new home.
I have a bitch here who is practically the reflection of Farouk B., Worthy's Fenja. She has a beautiful masculine like head and stocky body. She's one heck of a go getter, has everything you want in a dog. I did not get a title on her last year because I broke my ankle and tore up my knee, requiring operations, before the snow had melted off so we could leave our indoor facility and start training out on the field. I have not been able to train much since last April. I plan to get back into the swing of it as it gets easier to walk.
Our training director, Chris Thompson, has the litterbrother to Farouk B. and Fenja-- Worthy's Faruk (apparently a popular dog name :-), Chris has already put a SchH2 on Faruk with a score of 270 when the dog was 22 months of age. Trainer and dog are very talented!
In the same F litter, FeeBee owned by Perry S. has been titled. He put a BH, Tracking 1, SchHA on the dog before she was two, then as she was about to turn 2 years old, he put the SchH1 on her. He's working on the SchH2 now. (OOPS, Perry's last name is not Thompson, I had to edit that, slip of the fingers there :-).)
We have another one of the F litter in our club, Frisco Chico. No titles yet, his owner has been concentrating on her older dog and not pushing Frisco in training just yet. Probably this summer she will go for the B at least, if not more.
Let me know if you have any questions. You might want to email me, I am not on the PDB much anymore. Too much silly squabbling to sort through.
