I recently purchased a Male from this kennel from a gal named BRANDY PETITJEAN to be a stud here at our kennel. Before I purchased him she sent me a copy of a semen evaluation which said his semen  was 85% motility. I went yesterday to do an AI at our vet only to find out his semen was dead. I take great care of my dogs, so for this to be a cause of my care for him is out of the question. Since purchasing him, her  Web Site and phone have disappeared. I going today to a repo specialist to see if I can get to the bottom of this

Good luck because you should have requested that before you bought him, with his akc number on the report and an update from a vet you personally talked to on the phone with an Id of a tatoo or microchip to prove it was the dog.

This is sad to hear.  Brandy was here not too long ago asking for help to find one of her dogs that had been found and kept from her.  She was not being treated fairly and everyone, including me, was rallying around to help.  If this is true, even by the slightest bit, I only hope she will step up and do all she can to help you.

Well I put her response to my email minus the Attorney's name and number. You tell me what you think she will do. Tomorrow I will be in contact with the Attorney that she gave me to see if in fact he represents her. I feel that all I asked her was to stand behind the sale and all she could do is shoot a nasty response instead. In my book that isn't  what responsible breeders do. I even gave her an easy way to resolve this matter but instead she chose not to do that.

I feel that if someone had a problem with one of the dogs I sold, I would be the first to bend over backwards to rectify the problem like I have in the past.
That is what a responsible breeder does regardless of the problems she may have in her life now. Yes it is my fault for not checking her out a bit more than I did, but when someone responds to me this way it just adds fuel to the fire.

What is Faust's full name?  I think this person emailed me before wanting me to breed my bitch to Faust and I declined for other reasons.  PM me and I might be able to tell you more info regarding this dog, if it is the dog I am thinking.

Yep, it is the dog I thought it was!  Yea, I would not touch this dog with a 10 foot pole for personal reasons surrounding this dog.  I am sorry you got taken to the cleaners!

She has had him advetised multiple times for sale before and did state in some of the ads that he was not sold as a stud dog (should have been a clue).  A new sperm count should have been requestet before money exchanged hands.

We have had  him seen by our vet and have his semen back up to par since posting this thread. As for the old owner, she has some comunication skills to work on if she is going to continue selling pups and dogs in the future. She tells me that I have permission to contact her vet that have treated Faust in the past but neglets to contact them so that his files could be released. And to threaten me with a lawyer is real childish in my book as I was trying to get to the bottom of my boys problem..
